TEDxEastVan brings together creators, catalysts, designers and thinkers to share their ideas and take part in an inaugural event at the York Theatre on April 23rd. Sponsored by CBC Vancouver, TEDxEastVan will showcase some of the most exciting ideas and best speakers East Vancouver has to offer.

This year's TEDxEastVan theme, 'Move', represents change, intense emotions, performances, as well as art and culture. "Move" will be dynamically explored by an engaged roster of 12 individuals including a modern-day knight, a sustainability pioneer, a hereditary chief and a Syrian immigrant.

The audience is also encouraged to join in and actively participate in TEDxEastVan as the talks will be woven around activities, performances and delicious food, specifically designed to encourage new friendships and break down barriers in the community.
